(SSE: 600036; HKEx: 3968; “China Merchants Bank” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has won 6 awards in IR Magazine China Awards on December 6, 2007, including Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations – SOE (state-owned enterprise), Best Corporate Governance – SOE, Most Progress in Investor Relations – SOE, Best Investor Relations by a CEO, Best Investor Relations Officer – SOE, Best Annual Report and other Corporate Literature.
IR Magazine started to organize the IR Magazine Awards in London since more than 10 years ago. The awards have been one of the most recognized investor relations awards in the global capital market. IR Magazine commissioned an independent research agency to interview nearly 350 buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts and fund managers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and other Asian markets, to collect and reflect their views on the investor relations in the Asian markets.
