Service Feature

1.	Account opening appointment: Before leaving China, you may make an appointment with a bank (must be China Merchants Bank's partner) in your destination country of emigration or study to open your bank account. This saves you the risk of taking cash and the trouble to find a bank in a totally strange place.
2.	Opening account in advance at bank or branch nearest to your overseas residence: You may make appointment to open your account at a bank (must be the China Merchants Bank's partners) nearest to your overseas residence.
3.	Personal foreign exchange change: China Merchants Bank supplies you the foreign exchange you need according to SAFE policies.
4.	Transfer your proceeds abroad: China Merchants Bank is a member of SWIFT with advanced international electronic transfer system, capable of fast and convenient international remittance service. You may transfer your money to your bank account in your destination country even before you leave China.
5.	Other financial services provided by overseas cooperating banks: China Merchants Bank's overseas partners provide all-around financial services to you, which include application for credit card, application for establishment of personal check account, fixed deposit, and ATM card.

How to Apply

1.	Submission of ID: Please provide both the original and photocopies of your passport, resident ID, emigration visa or student visa issued by the government of your destination country.
2.	Where to apply: Over the counters.
3.	CMB branches where this service is available: Designated branches of China Merchants Bank in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shenyang, Tianjin, Chengdu, Chongnqing, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Fuzhou provide financial consulting services for emigrants to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
