Payment by card is a means of settlement with which, clients settle their shopping, consumption or service fees at contracted vendors including department stores, hotels, amusement places, transportation utilities, and telecommunication service providers, other service providers, and pubic welfare institutions, by their bankcards such as China Merchants Bank All-in-one-card, credit card, or Joint-name cards. The proceeds will be transferred from the accounts of bankcards to those of contracted vendors.

Service Features

1.	Convenient and safe: clients do not have to carry large amount of cash; clients may set daily consuming limit to control risk; after a successful transaction, China Merchants bank deducts proceeds from the client's corresponding bankcard account; the contracted vendors are informed whether the transaction is successful or not, no other account information.
2.	Free of service charge: Cardholders pay no extra fee no matter it is intra-city, or inter-city consumption.
3.	Chances for various prizes: China Merchants Bank and China Unionpay are sponsoring irregular promotions to encourage payment by cards, while cash settlement are not entitled to these prizes.
4.	Wide erea: Contracted vendors falls in eight groups: shopping, dining, hotels, service, entertainment, communications, miscellaneous and others. You can use your cards everywhere!

Service Channels

1.	Channels for inquiry on transaction: Telephone Banking, Internet Banking General Edition, Internet Banking Professional Edition, Mobile Banking, Self-service banking terminals, and counters.
2.	Channels to apply for consumption functions: counters. (Credit cards are entitled to the function after being activated)

How to Apply
Holders of China Merchants Bank All-in-one-card, credit card, and other Joint-name cards may apply for this service as follows:

1.	New "All-in-one-card" has this function as one of its basic ones; clients will be asked to indicate consumption limit in their application forms.
2.	In case you are holding an "All-in-one-card" without this service, or you may want to reset your consumption limit, you will have to carry your own "All-in-one-card" as well as your valid ID to bank counters for application.
3.	Credit card holders are entitled to this service as soon as their cards are activated.
