CMB is selling insurance products of its insurance partners through its offices and collecting premium and other insurance business, providing service in an indirect way.

Since 1998, China Merchants Bank has begun cooperation with many insurance companies. Its branches also team up with other insurance partners to provide service. CMB collects and pays premium charges for its clients, and sells insurance policies. Clients may purchase the insurance products they need at the offices of China Merchants Bank, or pay premium fee through other service channels such as Telephone Banking (service phone No.95555, Internet Banking, and Self-service Banking Terminals.

Currently, following insurance products are available with CMB:
Investment-for-profit insurance, educational insurance for teenagers, accidental injury insurance, endowment insurance, health insurance, household property insurance (automobile insurance), etc.
