Days are getting busy in the modern society, and people are in search of more convenient ways to obtain all sorts of information or to manage their funds, in an effort to catch up with the time and tide. China Merchants Bank and China Mobile Telecom Group Corp. has jointly provided "Mobile Banking Service" to give their clients more flexible and convenient personal financial management service, and enjoy the advantages made possible by modern telecommunication technologies.

Service Features

1. Comprehensive service, wide coverage. This service is available within the coverage of "Go Tone" network as well as the areas covered by "Go Tone" roaming service.

2. Powerful and easy. China Merchants Bank's clients with a "All-in-one-card," bankbook and credit card are all entitled to this service, which provides a wide range of service including account information inquiry, transfer of proceeds, fee settlement, securities service, personal foreign exchange trading, wealth management secretary and accounts management service. All functions have Chinese menu prompts and roll-bar choices; no need to memorize coded commands.

3. Simple application procedures. Clients can apply for this service at any designated offices  of China Mobile Telecom Group. (For further information on cities where this service is already available, please consult local branches of China Merchants Bank, or keep an eye on the latest news on CMB's website.)

4. System encrypted for safety. The most rigid data encryption technology has been adopted to prevent infringement and interception to ensure safe transactions.

How to Apply

Clients only need to approach any offices designated by local branches of China Mobile Telecom Group to change their original SIM card for a STK card capable of "Mobile Banking Service" function provided by China Merchants Bank (the original phone numbers will remain the same), (For further information on cities where this service is available, please consult local branches of China Merchants Bank).

User' s Guide

Currently available service items of Mobile Banking Service including:

1. Account Information Inquiry: Inquiries about account balance and recent transaction details of "All-in-one-card," bankbook and credit card.

2. Multi-transfer of Proceeds*: Transferring of proceeds between accounts of "All-in-one-card" bankbook and credit card; changing savings in current accounts under "All-in-one-card" into fixed deposit; or transferring proceeds between current savings account in "All-in-one-card" and accounts of guaranty fund with securities companies. This is to facilitate your investment in stock market.

3. Fee Settlement*: Inquiring and settling daily payments including mobile phone service fees and urban utility charges.

4. Securities Service*: Inquiring quotations of stock markets in Shenzhen and Shanghai, and trading.

5. Foreign Exchange Trading *: Inquiring quotations of foreign exchanges in international market, and foreign exchange trading.

6. Wealth Management Secretary: Providing clients with information as real time account transaction update, maturity of fixed deposit, securities traded feedback etc. through mobile phone message service.

7. Mobile Consumption Payement: pay directly from mobile phone, which is the latest way of settlement since introduction of credit card.

8. Messages from CMB: all saved transactions feedback generated during Mobile banking transactions.

9. Account Number Preset: Clients may preset three most frequently used account numbers in the mobile phone for their convenience in daily use.

10. Service Hotline: With this service, client can dial 95555, the nationwide universal customer service number, and enjoy automatic voice service or human-aided services.
