Mr. Li Jianhong
Chairman of the Board

Mr. Li Jianhong, a senior economist with a MBA from the University of East London and a MA in Economic Management from Jilin University, has been appointed as Chairman and Non-executive Board Director of our bank since July 2014. Currently he works as Chairman of China Merchants Group, China Merchants Holdings (International) Co. Ltd., China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd, China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd., China Merchants Huajian Highway Investment Co., Ltd. and China Merchants Capital. He previously served as President Assistant, Chief Economist and Vice President of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, as well as a Board Director and President of China Merchants Group.

Mr. TIAN Huiyu
Executive Director of the Board and President of the Bank

Senior economist Mr. TIAN was appointed CMB's Executive Director of the Board and President of the Bank in May 2013. He earned his master’s degree in public management from Columbia University in the U.S. Between July 2003 and May 2013 he served in a range of banks in various posts, including: vice president in the Bank of Shanghai, deputy managing director in China Construction Bank (CCB) Shanghai, managing director in CCB Shenzhen, retail business director in CCB, and managing director in CCB Beijing.

Mr. Liu Yuan
Chairman of the Board of Supervisors

Mr. Liu Yuan, an economist holding a bachelor's degree in World Economics from Renmin University in China, currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of our bank, and Special Committee Chairman under the Supervisory Board of the China Association for Public Companies. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Banking Supervision Department II of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC), CBRC Office Director in Shanxi, CBRC Office Director in Shenzhen, Head of the Banking Cases Inspection Bureau, and Head of the Banking Consumers Protection Bureau from July 2003 to July 2014. 

Mr. LI Hao
Senior Executive Vice President of the Bank and Executive Director of the Board

Mr. LI Hao, executive director, joined CMB in May 1997. He was appointed CFO in March 2007 and senior executive vice president in May 2013. Since June 2007, he has served as CMB’s executive director. As an MBA-qualified senior certified public accountant, he holds the following posts concurrently: non-executive director of Wing Lung Bank, executive director of the Financial Accounting Society of China and the China Communications and Transportation Association. Between April 2000 and March 2002, he served CMB in the following capacities: assistant to the president, vice president, and managing director of CMB Shanghai.

Mr. TANG Zhihong
Executive Vice President of the Bank

As CMB’s vice president and senior economist, Mr. TANG completed his undergraduate course at Jilin University. Since joining CMB in May 1995, Mr. TANG has served as deputy managing director of the Shenyang branch, deputy director of the Shenzhen Administration Department, managing director of the Lanzhou and Shanghai branches, director of Shenzhen Administration, and assistant to the president at Shenzhen HQ. In April 2006, Mr. TANG was appointed vice president of CMB. 

Mr. DING Wei
Executive Vice President of the Bank

Mr. DING Wei, with a university degree, is currently a vice president and associate researcher at CMB. Mr. DING joined CMB in December 1996 and has served CMB Hangzhou in the following posts: director of the General Office, managing director of the Sales Department, assistant to the managing director, and deputy managing director. He has also worked as manager of the Nanchang sub-branch, managing director of the Nanchang branch, director of the HR Department, and assistant to the president at HQ. As a director of CIGNA & CMC and China UnionPay, he was promoted to CMB’s vice president in April 2008.

Mr. ZHU Qi
Executive Vice President of the Bank

Currently as a vice president of CMB, Mr. ZHU is also an executive director and CEO of Wing Lung Bank. With a master's degree in economics, he joined CMB in August 2008. Mr. ZHU was appointed executive director and CEO of Wing Lung Bank in September 2008, and vice president of CMB in December 2008. Between1986 and 2008, he served in the following capacities at ICBC: deputy managing director and managing director of ICBC’s Hong Kong branch; director, managing director, and CEO of ICBC (Asia); chairman of Chinese Mercantile Bank; and independent non-executive director of Great Eagle Holdings.

Mr. Liu Jianjun
Executive Vice President of the Bank

Currently as a executive vice president of CMB, Mr. Liu Jianjun assumed office in October 2013. He holds a master's degree in economics. From 1995 to 2000, he successively served as vice president of Weifang, Jinan, and Dezhou sub-branches for the Shandong Branch of China Construction Bank. From 2000 to 2004, he served as Vice President of CMB’s Jinan Branch. Since 2004, he has served as General Manager of the Retail Banking Department for CMB's Head Office, General Manager of the Retail Management Department, Business Director of the Head Office, Executive Vice President of the Retail and Finance Headquarters, and President of the CMB’s Credit Card Center.

Mr. Xiong Liangjun
BankSecretary for Disciplinary Inspection of the Bank

Mr. Xiong Liangjun, a senior economist with a Master's degree in economics from the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, currently serves as a member of the CPC Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of our bank. Previously, he served as Assistant to the Head and Deputy Head of the Shenzhen Central Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China from April 2000 to September 2003, and worked as Deputy Director of the CBRC Office in Shenzhen, Director of the CBRC Office in Guangxi, and Director of the CBRC Office in Shenzhen from September 2003 to July 2014.

Mr. WANG Liang
Executive Vice President of the Bank
Secretary Designate of the Board of Directors

Senior economist Mr. WANG holds a master's degree in monetary economics and banking. From 1991 to 1995, Mr. WANG worked for the China International Trust & Investment Corporation. Between June 1995 and October 2001, he served CMB Beijing as manager of the Risk Control Department, and held various other posts at CMB Beijing and the Zhanlan Road and Dongsanhuan sub-branches, including assistant to the manager, deputy managing director, and managing director. Mr. WANG has since served in the following posts at CMB Beijing: party secretary and deputy managing director from October 2001 to March 2006; managing director and party secretary between June 2008 and June 2012; and assistant to the president at HQ, managing director, and party secretary in June 2012.From June, 2016, Mr. WANG starts to serve concorrently as the Board Secretary of CMB (the qualification for the Board Secretary officially takes effect after being verified by the CBRC and obtain the certificate of board secretary issued by the Shanghai Stock Exchange).


Mr. Zhao Ju
Executive Vice President of the Bank

EMBA Mr. Zhao Ju has served as executive vice president of the bank since February 2015. In July 1988, he started working at the China Rural Development Trust and Investment Corporation. In September 1991, he joined the International Business Department of China Construction Bank and successively held the positions of Chief Clerk of the Project Office, Deputy Director of the Fund Office, Director of the Foreign Exchange Fund Office and Director of the Merchant Bank Office.
In September 1997, he began working at the Deutsche Bank Beijing Representative Office. In January 2001, he served at China Galaxy Securities Co., Ltd as General Manager of the Investment Banking Headquarters. From November 2005 to November 2014, he worked in UBS Investment Bank successively as a Managing Director and Vice Chairman of UBS Asia.

Mr. LIAN Bolin
Assistant Executive President of the Bank

A senior economist, Mr. LIAN holds a bachelor’s degree. Mr. LIAN held a leading post at the Economic Research Institute of Anhui Planning Commission in August 1982. He was appointed secretary of the General Affairs Office of Anhui provincial government in November 1983. He joined BOC Anhui in July 1985, serving consecutively as deputy director of the Credit Department and head of the Business and Asset Protection Departments. Mr. LIAN joined CMB in January 2002 and has since served as deputy managing director and Party Secretary of CMB Hefei and CMB Shanghai. He was appointed managing director and Party Secretary of CMB Jinan and CMB Shanghai in June 2007 and September 2009 respectively. Since June 2012, he has been an assistant to the president at HQ, and managing director and Party Secretary of CMB Shanghai.
