Most Favored Four Local Brands Targeting High-income Consumers

What are the brands most favored by the richest and most influential people in China? A research team led by Hu Run yesterday unveiled the results from an authoritative survey, which is the first of its kind in China. Four local brands, namely, China Merchants Bank, Air China, Wuliangye and Sino-Euro Business College, were included in the list. China Merchants Bank was also chosen as "the most favored RMB financial service provider" and for "the most favored bank credit card".

The respondents to this survey are all mainland residents each with individual assets of more than 10 million yuan, 39 percent of whom with individual assets of over 100 million. The survey covered 18 categories including automobile, hotel, airline, private financial service provider, garment, golf club, and EMBA courses. This survey, targeting high-income people, was conducted for the first time in China. According to the survey results, Air China was "the most favored domestically-funded airline", Wuliangye chosen as the "National Alcohol", and Sino-Euro Business College chosen for "the most favored EMBA course". Foreign companies hold the rest 13 brands in the list.
